Early Pregnancy Scan
An early pregnancy scan can help confirm the location of pregnancy, assess viability, estimate gestational age and evaluate the number of gestational sacs or embryos. It may also be advised in patients with pain, bleeding or uncertainty regarding dates.
NT Scan
The nuchal translucency (NT) scan is a first-trimester fetal assessment performed during the appropriate gestational window. It evaluates fetal growth and early anatomy and includes measurement of nuchal translucency as part of first-trimester screening.
Anomaly Scan
The detailed anomaly scan is a systematic examination of fetal anatomy. The brain, face, spine, chest, heart, abdomen, kidneys, urinary bladder, limbs, placenta, amniotic fluid and other structures are assessed as far as technically possible.
Fetal Growth Scan
Growth scans assess fetal biometric measurements and estimated growth, along with amniotic fluid and placental appearance. Serial examinations may be advised when fetal growth requires follow-up
Fetal Doppler
Fetal and placental Doppler studies evaluate blood-flow patterns in selected vessels when clinically indicated. They are particularly useful in pregnancies requiring surveillance for fetal growth or placental function.
Fetal Echocardiography
When indicated, a dedicated fetal echocardiography examination provides a more detailed assessment of fetal cardiac anatomy, rhythm and function.
Important Note
Ultrasound is a powerful diagnostic tool, but no prenatal scan can detect every fetal condition. Image quality and diagnostic visibility can also be influenced by gestational age, fetal position and maternal factors.
